History on Tap: Tour of Mexico, An Evening with VBF

  • Kiggins Theater 1011 Main Street Vancouver, WA, 98660 United States (map)

Travel through Mexico with Vancouver Ballet Folklorico on a colorful and vibrant showcase of traditional and authentic dances ranging from the south to the north regions! Learn and compare the different styles of dance, cultural costumes, music, and history with a fashion show and live representations of the dances presented by dancers of VBF! You'll come out knowing so much more of Mexico's dance culture!

Founded nearly 12 years ago in Vancouver, Vancouver Ballet Folklórico is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and engaging children of Hispanic descent through traditional Mexican dance. Led by founder and director Anna Cruz, whose commitment to cultural preservation has earned her accolades such as the Keeper of the Culture Award, the 2024 Iris Awards, and the Latino Art BRAVO Award, VBF has become a beloved cultural institution in Clark County. “TOUR OF MÉXICO” promises to educate, inspire, and entertain—making it a perfect summer outing for families, history buffs, and lovers of culture and dance.

This event is made possible by the generous support of VDA, Heritage Bank, Port of Vancouver, and Giving Solutions Group.

Tickets to History on Tap are now $5 in advance. Event day admission is $10 at the door and free for CCHM Members.
